New Froh Dictionary Visuals: Emotional Labour, Dramaturgical Analysis, Museum of Guilt & Doom Pile
To help us better understand the invisible forces at play in our modern boxes, I have just added a new set of visuals to the website. These graphics take the Hard Science of environmental psychology and translate it into a visual vocabulary we can actually use.
Planning Ideas are Here!
I am so incredibly excited to introduce a new section to the Froh Collective Studio Shop: Planning Ideas!
These are essentially architectural cheat codes. I am taking the spatial planning principles I use as a commercial Interior Designer and democratizing them, so you can apply them to your own modern box. A floor plan isn't just geometry; it is a behavioral script for your nervous system.
The Froh Collective Studio Shop is Officially Open!
As a photographer, my lens is always searching for the honest, uncurated moments - the quiet "Back Stage" of the world. The prints I am releasing are fragments of those observations. They are designed to be soft landings for your walls, helping you soften the edges of your own modern box.
Head over to the shop to see the first two prints, and check back tomorrow for more. I can't wait to see which ones make your shoulders drop!
Finding the Froh: An Update on Healing and Content
For the past two weeks, the most complex architectural problems I have solved are figuring out how to coax our garden here in View Royal into blooming, and trying to determine the exact coagulation temperature required to make our own cheese. David and I have spent hours outside just existing, and honestly, it has been the quietest, most peaceful medicine I could have asked for. My heart is incredibly happy there.
I want to give you all a quick update on the floor plan here at Froh Collective for the near future.
I recently had to step back and take some time off from my day job. I am currently in active healing mode, working through a leg injury and managing some mental health hurdles. I might get into the specifics of that at a later date, but for right now, I am simply setting a boundary and focusing entirely on my recovery. I am prioritizing myself, my health, and my relationship.
New Froh Dictionary Visuals: Prospect and Refuge
New Dictionary Visual: Thigmotaxis
While the official definition sounds a bit formal ("the urge to stay close to a solid perimeter"), in our world, it simply means the deep, human desire to feel held by our spaces. We all crave the tactile reassurance of a boundary. Having a solid wall behind our backs is like receiving a warm, continuous embrace from the room itself. It gives our hearts permission to drop their guard, allowing us to connect more deeply with family, laugh a little louder with friends, and cultivate true inner peace.
Welcome to the new Latest News & Updates section of Froh Collective!
Well, we survived Month One. I am incredibly proud of the foundation we’ve built so far, but if we’re going to practice what we preach about radical honesty and protecting our nervous systems, I have a confession to make: I am exhausted.
For the past four weeks, I have been scripting, recording, editing, and publishing a one-hour, long-form Deep Dive video every single week. I realized this weekend that I had accidentally built a system that was fundamentally unkind to its user. And in this case, the user is me.
The perfectionist in me has been screaming that changing the schedule after only a month is a failure. But as a designer, I know that when a layout isn't working, you don't shame the human for bumping into the furniture. You move the furniture.
